Each sauce boat is raised on three hoof feet with leaf shoulders. The sauce boats have wavy rims and flying scroll handles. Each has an identical crest. Each piece also features the initials of who was probably the first owner, to the underisde. Both have rubbed hallmarks for London 1752 by John Payne, although the maker's mark on one is completely rubbed. In excellent condition with very light surface
