Asian FringetreeAlso known as a "grey beard" tree, Asian fringetree is grown for its awesome fragrant white flower spikes in April and May and its neat and compact growth habit as a smaller growing specimen tree. Leaves are thick and glossy, making it very drought tolerant after its first season in the ground. Leaves turn a soft yellow in fall before dropping for winter. See our Asian Grey Beard planted in the display garden near the bog.
